C.P.P.D.
Continuing Personal Professional DevelopmentC.P.D., C.P.P.D., means Continuing Personal & Professional Development, it recognises the overlap between Personal and Professional Development as a continuous “Holistic Process”
It is an on-going lifelong process of evolvement as a therapist starting at the point of a basic professional qualification.
In the past Energy Healing has not had to qualify to a professional requirement laid down by a Governing body.
Only Full Registered Members may join the C.P.P.D. program.
Healing therapists over the age of 70 are exempt and any member who is prevented from completing their C.P.P.D. in any year because of ill health or personal circumstances may be able to carry completed C.P.P.D. time over to the next year.
You will need to complete 10 points each year. (This is roughly equivalent to 14 hours) You will be responsible for your own records of all your C.P.P.D. in a portfolio.
You will need to set up a C.P.P.D. file in which information on all C.P.P.D. material is kept, including verification of attendance where appropriate. (e.g. certificates of attendance at a course).
The file should contain sufficient information about each activity that it could if required, be verified by an Assessor or Facilitator.
It will be mandatory criteria to retain and continue membership and insurance cover in a CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine therapy).
C.P.P.D. indicates your level of commitment and expertise in CAM. It tells you about your own achievements and increases your confidence. It enhances your professionalism and highlights new skills.
